Located at 110 Dinsmore Place in Brooklyn, Chestnut Commons is a 275 unit, 14-story building in Cypress Hills/East New York with deeply affordable apartments, from studios to 3-bedrooms, retail space, and a community center. In the residential building, residents enjoy amenities including a gym, community room, second-floor terrace, laundry room, and bike storage. Additional amenities include 24-hour security, common area Wi-Fi, and free secure broadband internet for all units. Chestnut Commons is a passive house-certified project and features onsite composting which generates fertilizer to be distributed to local gardens.

 

Around the corner, at 276 Chestnut Street, the Cypress Hills/East New York Community Center is run by Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC).
